Tamats Story - Chapter 7

I awoke from the memory,  in real time i had only closed my eyes for a few seconds. I was still falling over, and I quickly caught myself, i gasped when i saw two large great danes battling it out, Varg and Drop. I was so suprised that they had started fighting so quickly, i was still a little groggy, i could barely be heard over the fighting dogs. "Stop.....Please Stop....It only makes everything worse...." I was walking slowly towards them, walking like i was some drunken wolf. I was ignoreing my instincts that kept screaming at me, RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! instead I just pushed them aside. Then, I when I thought I was close enough, I rose my hackles up and let out a death rippling snarl, pulling up my lips and showing my glittering white teeth. Imediantly the two dogs stopped.
Varg snarled back at me and lunged, I just simply cocked my head. My mind so full of sleep i just simply yawned and leaped to the side. He was only an inch from my tail, when I heard him shout. "KILL ME! I DON'T CARE TO LIVE ANYMORE! IF YOU DON'T KILL ME! I WILL KILL YOU!" His words shocked me, but once i saw the anger in his eyes, I knew that NOTHING could change his mind. I jumped again as he came at me.
As i took a quick glance at my surrondings, I saw another dog fall, i saw galaxys teeth around his neck and he cried out his last cry as glaxy tighted her grip and the dogs mouth opened and his tounge came lolling out of his mouth, but that wasn't what i was looking at, i was looking at the mark on his side, It was branded into his side. it said something like BH and then had a black Heart connected to it. "The Black Heart is what it means Tamat." growled Drop, and I noticed that he was just a few feet away from me. i noticed also, that Varg had stumbled when he had tried his second time to kill me, and was getting up.
I growled, I curled my lips up into a smile and I got into a pouncing postion. I lunged, jaws wide open and showing my teeth. When I came down, I had missed Varg, only by inches though, and when I landed, I landed by him, my back turned. He took the chance and grabed my tail with his teeth, I yelped in suprised as I was dragged up and thrown over his head, I landed, but fell over. I suddenly knew that Varg wasn't going down without a fight. "Why do you want death to come upon you Varg?" I said getting up. He stood there, his eyes blazing. "Have you seen the pain and misery that I have put in this world?!? I have never cared about Dieing, i even killed my own parents, They were so abusive. And finnally, when I turned one year old, I took my father by suprize" He growled hoarsely, with a smirk, "And I snapped his neck. Then when my mother grieved for him,  She took her pain out on me, She bit me, she always pinned me down, she gave me scars, physical, and mental scars, The phsical ones healed, of course, but the mental ones, most of them never, and will never, go away." He ended his speech with a snort.
I stood frozen in place, my mouth open in shock.
"So you....?"
"Yes, I killed my mother also, but for hers, I made it more painful, giving her wounds and tearing her ears off, i then made her blind in one eye! I docked her tail with my teeth, then i soon snaped her neck also." He smiled at his story. I stayed standing there, my mouth still open. he curled up his lips, and it looked like a habit thing, he skimmed his front teeth with his tounge, he started to roll his eyes, letting his gaurd down, I took my chance. This time, i didn't miss my target. I went straight for his throat,  biting down so hard that i soon felt blood trickled off his neck and down my fur, and drip off my fur. I felt the blood-lust for the first time. I felt the snarling from the bottom of my stomatch,  I heard Varg howl in pain, a low painful howl of sadness, but also of hopefulness.
I felt the tears stream down my face. but i lifted myself up onto his back, Then i got a better, tighter grip and then I heard it, the sound that made me whine in terror at what i just did, Vargs lifeless body fell to the ground, I had snaped his neck. I jumped off him, My black once black muzzle was nearly red, red from only Vargs blood. I heard a dog walking over to me, I looked over to see Drop, his tail was lowered. "Its over Tamat, We've won!" He said bowing his head and wagging his tail, I smiled grimly. then looking back at Vargs lifeless body. I shook my head. "How can it be over when your sad, Im sad, and everyone grieves over the ones that just lost there lives?" I said looking up to the sky. I saw Drop from the corner of my eye go ridged. "Mara!" I heard him whisper. my eyes opened and I remmebered Mara and Galaxy. "Galaxy! were did they go?!" I yelled, getting up. I ran, to the place I thought I saw them last. I saw Mara laying on the ground, I couldn't ell if she was dead or alive, And I saw galaxy just barly holding her groundfrom the dogs that surronded them.
"STOP!" I shouted as loud as could. "VARG IS DEAD! YOUR LEADER IS DEAD!!!!" The dogs eyes got wide with horror as they saw me running and with my blood red muzzle, i saw some of the dogs back away a little and some put there tails that were high in the air, down inbetween there legs. but then as I approched, a great cheering had risin up. "The evil one is dead!" i heard some shout. "We are free! the leader is dead!" I heard some yell, Galaxys eyes overfilled with happiness as she heard the great news. then her legs buckled under her.  "GALAXY!" I shouted. "MARA!!" I heard Drop scream. then I felt him zoom past me. I forced myself faster. Once i got to galaxy and Mara, my legs finnally buckled over to, and I went sumersaliting and stopped only inches away from Drop and Mara. "Tamat......?" I heard a small voice come from Mara. "Yes..?" I asked in a small whisper, my eyes closing. "Good, your still alive... Drop.... are you there too...?" Tears filled my eyes as I heard Mara. She sounded so tired, so weak..... "Yes??" Said Drop in a worried voice. "I...I.. I love you Drop...." I heard her voice become overfilled with tears. "Oh mara! I love you too! with ever once of my being!" I heard Drop yell and he flung himself on the ground.
And, for the first I heard Drop weep.
